I’m a sucker for a good spice and I end up seasoning almost anything I eat.

And I was looking at something on Amazon and came across something called bourbon paprika (technically bourbon smoked paprika).

I know what you are thinking: Bourbon is a type of American whiskey, while paprika is a spice made from dried and ground red peppers. They are distinct and unrelated items.

I was in the same camp. I had never heard of something like this, but I’m always willing to give something a try.

So I bought this from Amazon and gave it a try.

And from my purchase, I can agree. It’s pretty tasty stuff.

I think it has a great smokey flavor that I haven’t found in a lot of other paprikas. It’s not super hot, but it packs a punch in the flavor department.
